ASPEN, Colo. - Pitkin County officials will send their investigation findings into an Aspen ski death to Colorado Attorney General John Suthers.

Monday's collision between 48-year-old Natalie Egleston of Pennsylvania and 53-year-old Virginia Chen of New York on Aspen Mountain, led to Egleston's death from traumatic brain injuries.

The Glenwood Springs Post Independent reports that investigators have looked into whether or not Chen followed guidelines of the Colorado Skier Safety Act and the district attorney's office will now determine whether or not she will be held liable in the incident.

Officials say these types of cases are rare. The DA hopes to have a decision this week.
