GRAND JUNCTION,Colo. Traveling cross-country in a car can be a long process. However, for one woman that’s nothing compared to cycling across the nation.
Jasmine Reese made a promise to herself and her charity, to ride her bike from New York to San Diego.
A portion of her proceeds will go toward the Missouri Lions Eye Research Foundation, which provides research for people that are losing their eye sight due to diabetes.
Reese says she has met many helpful people along the way, and that this journey has opened up her world to new people and has changed her life forever.
"I didn't want to be afraid of the world. I wanted to get out and still be the extroverted person that I used to be. So, I thought cycling would also change me in that way and it has,” said Jasmine Reese bicyclist.
Her next stop will be in Sacramento where she will continue her journey on her bicycle to San Diego.
