Crime Stoppers Hosts Free Child Safety Course For Parents

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.- In light of the disappearance and death of Jessica Ridgeway, Crime Stoppers of Mesa County is hosting a child safety class for parents in the Grand Valley.

This free class is an opportunity for parents to learn how to teach their children valuable safety skills, including how to defend themselves and what to do around strangers.

Deputy Chad Williams of the Mesa County Sheriff's Office will be teaching the class, called: "Stranger Danger: A Parent's Guide to Teaching Their Children."

The class will be held Thursday at 7:30 p.m. at the Two Rivers Convention Center in Grand Junction.
