MESA COUNTY, Colo.- Crime Stoppers is a nonprofit organization. In order to stay afloat, the group held its only fundraiser of the year on Sunday.

Crime Stoppers' 27th annual golf tournament took place in Fruita at the Adobe Creek Golf course.

Not only is the tournament the oldest in the valley, but it is Crime Stoppers' sole source of funding for the program.

The organization supports local law enforcement's efforts to prevent crime, arrest criminals and recover stolen property.

The tournament brings in between $12,000 and $13,000 a year.

People who help Crime Stoppers solve investigations can earn cash rewards and they can also remain completely anonymous.
