Crews Work to Contain Several Fires in Western Colorado

RIO BLANCO COUNTY, Colo.- Fire crews have made significant progress on several fires in Western Colorado. Two were contained Tuesday.

According to the Bureau of Land Management, crews have reached full containment on the Powell Fire, which was burning five miles northwest of Meeker.

The Little Duck Fire was contained by Tuesday evening. That blaze was burning 13 miles southeast of Rangely.

Crews continue to work on the Long Mesa Fire in the Black Canyon Wilderness area. It's currently estimated at 150 acres.
