Vallecito Fire Shows Little Growth

LA PLATA COUNTY, Colo.- At last report, the Vallecito fire burning 20 miles north of Bayfield has grown to just over 220 acres and is 25 percent contained.

There was little growth reported in the fire and officials were starting to pull resources from the fire.

Around 40 firefighters will remain to monitor the status of the fire, which was first reported Oct. 16.

The cause of the wildfire is believed to be lightning.
