Crews Extinguish Attic Fire

by KREX News Room
by Danielle Kreutter

REDLANDS, Colo. - A Redlands family got lucky Friday afternoon as crews were able to respond quick enough to extinguish a fire that had started on the outside of the home and went up the siding, into the attic.

Fire department officials say, fortunately, a fire truck was en route to a different fire nearby and was able to respond almost immediately to help douse the attic fire, before it did much damage to the inside of the home.

No one was injured during the fire and authorities say the homeowner will be able to stay in her home.

The actual cause of the fire is still under investigation.
