Update: Crews Continue to Fight Fast-Moving Fire in Wetmore Area

WETMORE, Colo.- Fire crews are diligently working on containing a fast-moving fire in the Wetmore area located west of Pueblo.

The wildfire has burned at least 12 structures and prompted an evacuation on Tuesday of 308 homes in the town of Wetmore.

Officials say the fire has grown to about 1,700 acres.

Colorado State Patrol says all roads leading into Wetmore are closed at this point.

Fremont County officials say the fire may have started as a structure fire that quickly spread to nearby brush and grass.
