GARFIELD COUNTY, Colo.- Fire crews continue to fight a fast moving wildfire burning in Garfield County.

The Brush Creek Fire is now estimated at 397 acres.

The blaze was first reported Wednesday morning.

The wildfire is located on tough terrain on BLM land about three miles northeast of Douglas Pass and 17 miles from the Utah border.

Officials say it was caused by lightning.

According to BLM officials, the blaze has moved within a half mile of two structures and the west flank of the fire is a primary area of concern.

Authorities say retardant has been dropped in that area to help ground crews working to build a fire line around the structures.
