Country Singer Mindy McCready Dead at 37

HEBER SPRINGS, Ark. - Country singer Mindy McCready has died at age 37.

Waren Olmstead, coroner of Cleburne County, Arkansas, said McCready died Sunday in Heber Springs, AR. Olmstead didn't provide any further details but It has been reported that McCready committed suicide.

McCready had a number one hit in 1996 with "Guys Do It All the Time." In recent years personal problems appear to have derailed her career.

In the past few years McCready has gained more fame for her tumultuous personal life than her songs.

The once-promising singer fell victim to abusive relationships, drug abuse, and high-profile sex scandals.

McCready, whose breakthrough 1996 album "Ten Thousand Angels" sold 2 million copies, was attempting to restart her life and career.

She appeared on the most recent season of "Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew."

Her latest album, "I'm Still Here," was released in March 2010.
