Country Fried Steak Recall

DENVER - The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment has announced a voluntary recall by AdvancePierre Foods for their frozen fully-cooked country fried steaks.

Both the 22.75 ounce and the 8.5 ounce portions of Fast Classics Country Fried Steaks are being recalled because they may contain pieces of plastic.

Officials say the problem originated when a plastic bin was broken into smaller pieces during production.

The products effected have an establishment number of: EST.2260Y

The "best by" date is March 21, 2014 and the case code is 1523560202.
