Counterfeit Currency Circulating in Montrose

MONTROSE, Colo.- A counterfeit currency is circulating in the city of Montrose.

According to the Montrose Police Department, the bills are usually in $20 and $100 denominations.

The $20 bills use serial numbers EG40548458B and IK61309766C.

The $100 bills use serial number HA61428570A

The bills currently being passed around are in poor quality.

If you receive a suspicious bill, you are asked to contact the Montrose Police Department at (970) 252-5200.
