LARIMER COUNTY, Colo.- Cooler temperatures and higher humidity allowed firefighters to make progress on the High Park Fire Wednesday.

The fire has destroyed more homes than any other wildfire in Colorado history. The blaze has burned around 66,000 acres and is currently 55 percent contained.

It's caused hundreds of people to evacuate and destroyed at least 189 homes, some as recently as Sunday. There are close to 2,000 personnel fighting the flames.

On Thursday, they'll receive some additional help from a group of volunteer firefighters from Delaware. They are scheduled to arrive in Colorado later in the day.

Officials say it could be weeks, or even months, before the fire is fully controlled.
