Community Hospital to Host Tour of the Valley

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.- It's that time of the year when hundreds gear up for the annual Tour of the Valley.

It's the 24th year Community Hospital is hosting the tour, and folks from across the country travel all the way to the Grand Valley for the event.

You have the option of participating in a 30, 50, 75 or 100-mile ride. Officials from the tour say it's not competitive and is all about family fun.

“We want to showcase and highlight everything we have in the valley,” said Chris Thomas, president of Community Hospital. “It’s more of a get out and meet people and have a great time touring the valley on your bicycle.”

All the fun begins Sunday at 6 a.m. Cyclists will start and end at the DoubleTree Hotel in Grand Junction, which is located at 743 Horizon Drive.
