Officials Host ‘County Coffee’ in Loma

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.- Before they even started their work day on Thursday, residents had the opportunity to get to know our local county officials.

Folks met at the Strayhorn Grill in Loma to chat with newly elected commissioners for Mesa County and ask them a variety of different questions.

It was the first "County Coffee" gathering for the new officials as commissioners-elect.

They say it's a great time to get to know the people they represent.

“We are going to make a few tweaks as far as the ‘County Coffees’ go and how we can better engage the community,” said Rose Pugliese, commissioner-elect. “Especially in some of these farming and ranching communities, where they have their coffee at 5 a.m.“

Current commissioners were also in attendance, as well as our clerk and recorder, and district attorney.

If you missed this month's "County Coffee," officials hold them once a month.
