Colorado's 2012 Graduation Rate Up From Last Year

DENVER- Colorado continues to make steady gains on the graduation rate.

According to the Colorado Department of Education, the statewide on-time graduation rate for the class of 2012 increased to 75.4 percent.

On the Western Slope, Mesa County and Garfield County had graduation rates above 70 percent. Delta County and Debeque had graduation rates in the 80 percentile. Plateau Valley's graduation rate was at 25 percent and Meeker RE1 was 97.3 percent.

The overall dropout rate for Colorado decreased for the sixth consecutive year.
