Colorado Springs Salvation Army to Continue Bell Ringing

by KREX News Room
by Danielle Kreutter

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Colorado Springs City Council says Salvation Army volunteers can now continue to ring bells in the downtown area.

The ordinance passed Thursday eliminated soliciting of any type within a specific zoned area of downtown but does not pertain to soliciting on private property.

Out of the 22 bell ringers in Colorado Springs, one of them was in the effected zone.

The Mining Exchange Wyndham Grand Hotel offered for their property to be used as an alternate location for that bell ringer.
