DENVER- Colorado is considered one of the happiest places in the country.

According to 24/7 WallSt.com, Colorado is the second-happiest state, citing the results of a new Gallup poll.

Hawaii took first.

The Gallup-Healthways Well-Being Index looked at the emotional and physical health of residents in every state.

The index the index looked at healthy behavior and optimism to determine where a state fell on a scale of 0 to 100.

Colorado had a score of 69.7 on the well being index.

Hawaii, just a little higher, had a score of 71.1

Colorado's high ranking was based on residents exercising regularly, eating fruits and vegetables and avoiding cigarettes.

Why wouldn't Colorado rank this, we have free dope, almost gay marriage, a very liberal governer, whatelse could a liberal ask for. Woo hoo for socialism/communism.

Keep in mind this survey was taken with people afraid their health insurance rates would triple if they answered wrong. The results are highly suspect. My opinion is the local suicide rate is a more accurate indicator of the well-being in the area, or complete lack thereof.
