MONTROSE, Colo.- Colorado Mesa University has completed renovations at its Montrose campus and will be unveiling the improvements at an open house.

CMU spent $1 million on the renovations over the summer.

The renovations include a new science lab, new health science simulation lab and improved technology and equipment.

"We've spent a lot of time trying to put those facilities at priority with the rest of the campus in terms of some of the specifics that will help support the nursing and health sciences program. Nurses are something that are incredibly important to our regional economy and no more so than Montrose," said John Marshall, vice president of student affairs at CMU.

CMU officials will host an open house for the public to see the changes.

It will be held Sept. 7 from 3 -5 p.m.
