Colorado Democrats Push Two Gun Control Measures

DENVER - Colorado lawmakers will be considering new ammunition limits and more background checks on firearm purchases.

The House Judiciary committee is expected to take its first votes on the proposals Monday.

One bill would make it a crime to have or sell large-capacity gun magazines. Another proposal would require background checks on private gun sales.

Colorado Democrats are encouraging numerous gun proposals after the mass shootings at an Aurora theater and a Connecticut elementary school.

It is the insane idea to make "gun free zones" that has encouraged those who want to go on a shooting spree. They don't have to worry about getting shot before they get done what they want to do. The criminal element and the politicians, with "D" in front of their title, are allies in the quest to disarm the American people, all for political, not safety, goals.

It sure is ethical the way the democrats have resisted the urge to milk a tragedy for political gain. We are so lucky to have such ethical people at the helm.
