Colorado Balloon Classic Held in Colo. Springs

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.- The 36th annual Colorado Balloon Classic had folks flying high in Colorado Springs over the Labor Day weekend.

The Labor Day staple featured 80 pilots registered to bring 80 aircraft, including hot air balloons, helicopters and paragliders.

The average hot air balloon featured reaches between eight and 10 stories tall and travels between 500 and 1,000 feet above ground.

The event holds the title of the largest air show and hot air balloon event in the state.
