Colo. Woman Recovering After Being Shot in Face by Deputy

SALT LAKE CITY- A Whitewater woman is recovering, after being shot in the face by a deputy following a high-speed pursuit in northern Utah.

According to authorities, Kristine Nicole Biggs, 41, started the 30-mile chase by speeding away from police late Sunday night after they tried to pull her pickup over for a broken headlight.

Officials say after driving over spike strips in Morgan County, Biggs flipped around and rammed into two sheriff's deputies' vehicles.

She ignored calls to get out of her car, leading to a deputy firing once at her windshield.

Biggs is in critical condition, but is expected to survive.

No law-enforcement officers were injured in the incident.

Authorities say she has an arrest warrant in Colorado for failure to comply with judges orders, likely stemming from charges related to an incident in a state park in July 2011.

Well you fellows have changed my mind. Thank goodness this lady who dared to drive a truck with a burned out headlamp was stopped. Who knows what heinous crime she would have resorted to next, perhaps driving with expired plates or failure to use a signal in a turn. The horror of it all!

More of these DIRTBAGS need to be shot!

Actually the deputy that shot her needs to spend more hours in training. He fired at her windshield, and that was the wrong thing to do. He got lucky the shot hit her and did not exit the rear window and hit an innocent bystander. All in all, it seems from this report that it was a justified shooting, and other than aim and choice of targets, the officers did what they are supposed to do.

SHOOTING A WOMEN IN THE FACE - FOR WHAT ?---- OBEY ME or DIE !-------------- ITs THE LAW of THE LAND !

Since she was behaving like an animal, it was extremely chivalrous for the deputy to refrain from putting her down.

And who says chivalry is non-existent in modern times?
