Colo. Senators Join Filing Brief Against Defense of Marriage Act

by KREX News Room
by Kristina Kuestner

DENVER(AP) Colorado's two Democratic Senators are signing onto a legal challenge against the federal Defense of Marriage Act.

Senators Mark Udall and Michael Bennet are among the 212 members of Congress who signed the argument which claims that the law unconstitutionally prohibits the government from recognizing same-sex married couples.

The legal brief was filed Friday with the U.S. Supreme Court.

The brief argues that by defining marriage as only between a man and a woman, the law violates the Constitution's guarantee of equal protection for all people in the United States.

Jeff, the way the left is handling things now guarantees there won't be another election.

Bigotry is the reason the "right" will never win another election. The "right" is being punished by their anger. Nice job:-) Thanks for handing the Left the next 20 Presidential Elections. Appreciate that! Y'all;-)

Those who have no moral values, tend to vote against moral values. The destruction of the nation follows the destruction of the moral values.

Udall and Bennet are the two most worthless senators Colorado has ever had. They do exactly what they're told and have no ambition beyond playing to the Official Party Line. They are puppets.

Sen Udall & Bennet? Didn't both of them vote yes on the Obummercare bill that was passed under cover of darkness and holiday by democrat cowards too afraid to debate that travesty in public on Christmas Eve, 2009?
