LEAP Accepting Applications

DENVER- Colorado's low-income energy assistance program, also known as LEAP, is now accepting applications for families in need.

LEAP is a federally-funded program that helps families and individuals pay a portion of winter home heating costs.

According to the Glenwood Springs Post Independent, the average LEAP benefit is estimated at $302 per household.

Last winter, more than 125,000 Coloradans applied for LEAP.

The deadline is April 30.
