Colo. Communities Awarded Grants to Improve Health Access for Kids

DENVER- Several Colorado counties will soon receive thousands of dollars to increase health access for kids.

The Colorado Children's Campaign is awarding more $13,000 in grants to help It's About Kids and their network of partners around the state, to spread the word about the unique needs of the children in the area.

The grants will support work in San Luis Valley and Eagle, Garfield, Mesa, Montezuma, Dolores, La Plata, Pitkin and Pueblo counties.

Mesa County will receive funding to train people to become effective leaders in improving their communities.

In Garfield County, the money will be used to promote the It's About Kids network and bring local advocates to the Capitol.
