Colo. Adultery Law Moves Closer to Being Removed From Books

by KREX News Room

DENVER(AP)- Colorado lawmakers give initial approval to repealing the state's adultery law Thursday.

Although the law isn't enforced, lawmakers will consider taking the crime off the books and the House Judiciary Committee voted 8-3 to delete the law from the books.

Previous attempts failed amid concerns the change would send the wrong message and promote cheating.

The bill now goes before the full House for a vote.
