Gays who don't agree with the militant agenda should speak out against it. If it truly doesn't represent their view, then condem it. I as a Christian speak out all the time about how wrong Westboro Baptist Church. Their views are actully antichristian. They preach hate. So if you disagree with the militant gay agenda speak out against it.

You are absolutely entitled to dissent. I have never said otherwise, though I have been accused of it. The only other thing I would say is that assuming the "militant gay agenda" is what all gays everywhere are aspiring to is a mistake, just like claiming that all Christians agree with Westboro baptist. Both positions misrepresent the other side and cause a communication block. That's the only way we're going to solve the issues that face our country, and assuming the worst of your opponents does no good at all.

Scott we are going to have to agree to disagree. You can support this, and I and others like me will offer the desenting view. My only hope is this will be the end to the militant gay demands.

So civil unions don't affect you personally. Nothing you said has anything to do with civil unions being "forced" on you. Guess what, allowing civil unions isn't going to change any of that, and neither will denying them. Gays are here and aren't going anywhere. You can call it a sad state of affairs, but as I said earlier, everyone's entitled to their opinion. Let me ask you this. If majority opinion endorsed civil unions, would you be okay with it then, or would you be complaining about "tyranny of the majority" then?

It's subtle normalizing, just like all other left wing whacko ideas. Look at all the gay friendly t.v. programs, music, school lessons etc. If it wasn't being forced it wouldn't be mentioned, or taught. You don't see heterosexual advocacy groups or agendas. There aren't volunteers in the streets pushing heterosexual laws. It's a sad lifestyle that leads to destruction. I'll say it again I have live for the sinner, but I hate the sin.

Welcome to the Weimar Republic! Check your history Scott. What appears as a victory is unfortunately exactly the opposite. Those that have forgotten the past are sadly destined to repeat it in the future. Cheers.

How? That is something that is often asserted, but never explained. How does letting two consenting adults received the civil benefits of marriage affect you in the slightest? What do you lose? What possible effect can it have on you? I'm betting you won't answer this.
Sad said on Wednesday, Mar 13 at 6:37 PM
It IS forcing one's lifestyle on others who don't accept it, they're just being real subtle about it.
Scott said on Wednesday, Mar 13 at 4:28 PM
If gays do not have the same rights as others, then it is a civil rights violation. Sorry, but you don't get to decide what rights some get and some don't. And, once again, since it doesn't seem to have sunk in, no one is "forcing their lifestyle on others". You don't think gay marriage is right? Don't marry a gay person. But you don't get to make that choice for others.
Sad State of Affairs said on Wednesday, Mar 13 at 2:55 PM
Gays haven't been subjected to any civil rights violations. As a matter of fact gays are more protected than anyone else. This is a the example of the militant homosexual movement lying and forcing their lifestyle on everyone else. This state is falling apart we need to get it back from the left wing loons. It used to be a wonderful place to live, but it's now turning into a left wing cess pool. It may be time to run for office and begin to take it back.
Scott said on Wednesday, Mar 13 at 2:46 PM
No violations? How many civil unions between gays have there been in Colorado? How many gay people are there in Colorado? How many of those gay people want to have the same civil benefits as heterosexuals? Just because YOU don't personally think they should have the same rights as you doesn't mean you get to define what's a violation and what isn't. Every time someone is denied a civil union permit based simply on the gender of their partner is a violation. Its sad that you can't see that.
Disgusted said on Wednesday, Mar 13 at 1:10 PM
Scott, your argument would be valid if there was any evidence to support that there was civil rights violations going on previously. The statistics simply didn't support that fact. A victory won with the help of such retched people as democrat politicians is a hollow victory indeed.
Scott said on Wednesday, Mar 13 at 11:33 AM
Disgusted, As you know very well, civil rights aren't decided by majority vote. Would you agree if "the people" voted to deny civil rights to blacks? Or to women? How about Catholics? If "the people" want it, it must be ok, right?
John said on Wednesday, Mar 13 at 10:06 AM
The people of Colorado need to take back the state from the left wing lunatics before its too late. Colorado is a mess.
Disgusted said on Wednesday, Mar 13 at 7:12 AM
Scott, why wasn't this civil union passed by the voters when it was on the ballot? Was the election rigged?
Scott said on Wednesday, Mar 13 at 7:00 AM
The real sad state affairs is that this discrimination has been allowed to go on for so long.
Sad State of Affairs said on Wednesday, Mar 13 at 4:43 AM
We as conservatives need to vote out the two Republicans who agreed to this. This state is falling apart. We have speaker of the house who is more concerned with gay marriage, dope, and taking away 2nd Amendment rights. This same speaker can't be bothered with bills to protect children. What a travesty. I'm truly embarrassed to be from this state.
