Cinemark Asking Judge to Dismiss Theater Massacre Lawsuits

by KREX News Room
by Jordan Sherman

DENVER- Cinemark is asking a judge to dismiss lawsuits alleging the company failed to protect its customers during the deadly Aurora theater shooting last July.

In January, a magistrate recommended the federal judge dismiss the lawsuits.

Cinemark claims the lawsuits don't show the company is liable under the Colorado Premises Liability Act.

James Holmes has been charged with the deadly shooting and is expected to enter a plea in March.

Big Deal Here said on Tuesday, Feb 12 at 12:32 PM

This is a really big deal, if the suits AREN'T dismissed, it's the END OF GUN-FREE ZONES. Case law would do what the Democrats didn't want to happen. If they are dismissed, you're the same sort of victim in-waiting that you are now.
