Cattle Truck Rollover Accident Shuts Down Highway 133

CARBONDALE, Colo.- A Western Slope highway was shut down for hours Tuesday after a cattle truck rolled over.

It took place on Highway 133 in Pitkin County.

Authorities say the crash happened just before 11 a.m. near mile marker 60, just south of Carbondale.

According to the Colorado State Patrol, 10 to 15 cows died at the scene, but there were no significant injuries to the people involved.

The incident closed Highway 133 in both directions.

It was finally reopened around 2:30 p.m.
