GLENWOOD SPRINGS, Colo.- A vehicle driving on I-70 struck and killed a bear Sunday.

It happened just before noon.

Officials say a small SUV was traveling on I-70 near mile marker 116 near Glenwood Springs when the bear crossed the road.

Authorities say the car was damaged but drivable, and no one was injured.

There were no road closures, and the bear is now in the hands of wildlife officials.
