GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.- It was a scary morning for some residents after they flipped their car, and blocked a portion of Patterson road on Wednesday.

Officials say around 2 a.m. a white SUV was traveling westbound on Patterson when the driver of the car slipped on black ice and crashed at 24 1/2 Rd., near Barnes and Noble.

According to dispatch, witnesses stopped to help the people in the car.

The Grand Junction Police Department and Fire Department responded to the incident.

Officials say the occupants crawled out of the rolled vehicle, and sustained minor injuries.

Alcohol and speed were not factors in the crash.
