Car Crashes Into GJ Scores

by KREX News Room
by Courtney Griffin

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.- Just before 6 p.m. Wednesday a pickup truck crashed into the GJ Scores building off of 24 1/2 Road and Patterson.

Grand Junction police officials say they believe the driver was headed east in the parking lot when he went off the curb and ran into the building and a bike rack.

Officers say the vehicle had two REDDI reports called into dispatch already.

A REDDI report is when someone calls in what they believe to be a driver under the influence.

Officials say they do suspect alcohol played a factor in the crash.

The driver was a male in his mid 30s; he was transported to the hospital with minor injuries.

The building has been empty for a little over a year.

Officials don't believe any structural damage was done.
