GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.- A two vehicle accident on the Fifth Street bridge leaves one man with serious injuries.

Police say a man driving a green SUV was driving westbound on Highway 50 when he rear-ended a Grand Junction paint crew's car.

Witnesses say the man moved to the left lane to avoid another vehicle, signaling other cars to change lanes. He then shifted back to the right lane and rear-ended the paint car.

After the crash, police say the car skimmed the guardrail before coming to rest partially on the sidewalk.

The man was transported to St. Mary's hospital with serious injuries and the female driver of the paint car was transported to Community Hospital.

Her injuries are unknown at this time.

I doubt this would make the news if the individual had been driving a Subaru.
