CU Students Arrested After Feeding Classmates Weed Brownies

BOULDER, Colo. - Two students have been arrested and are facing several felony charges for feeding their fellow classmates and professor brownies secretly laced with pot.

21-year-old Thomas Ricardo Cunningham and 19-year-old Mary Elizabeth Essa were arrested Saturday on suspicion of second-degree assault and inducing the consumption of controlled substances by fraudulent means, along with two conspiracy counts.

CU Police say officers were called Friday morning after a history professor complained of dizziness and losing consciousness. The professor was hospitalized. Two students in the class who ate the brownies also were hospitalized and five others were sickened.

Police say Cunningham and Essa baked the brownies and brought them to class as part of a ``bring food day.''

So just a prank? Let me ask you this, would you be ok if someone did this to your child? By what you have said I can only imagine. What if someone purposely gave you another drug? Let's see like heroin or cocaine they are natural would that be a problem? So purposely forcing drugs on somone is ok? So if this is free America, where was the freedom of those affected to choose whether they wanted to be exposed to the drugs? See the problem here is no accountability for poor actions. And yes I would ruin their lives for a prank, those kids chose to commit a crime, and they absolutely deserve punishment. And their victims deserve justice.

ITK, yours is the mentality of someone who lives in a suppressed Country like Ukraine or other old Soviet States, this kind of thinking doesn't belong in a free America! You would actually ruin a young persons life over a prank? As as I said before know one was hurt now were they! Cannabis is non toxic and can't cause death, do some research. Your rant is pathetic and this Assistant Professor is blowing it way out of proportion, come on now, in and out of consciousness, the students needed a hospital for panic attacks, really now! Like I said I have never seen cannabis do this to even a light weight. This story is being sensationalized by anti 64 supporters to intentionally mislead citizens on the effects of cannabis.

Doesn't hurt anyone? Please! Stupid kid stuff? Please! Not only should they be in prison but should be sued for everything they have. Wow is all I can say.

Prison, please! Sick and twisted, please! Stupid kid stuff yes but know one was hurt! Remember ITK cannabis is non toxic and cannot kill anyone, never has, never will! However it's folks like you that spread lies and propaganda from the reefer madness era that think this way. This stuff has been going on since I was in high school, alcohol spiked punch bowl, at least it wasn't booze! Now that could have killed someone!
