FORT COLLINS, Colo.- Colorado State University students may soon be able to major in beer making.

The university is looking into offering a major that studies the key process that goes into making beer, wine, cheese and bread.

According to The Coloradoan, the university's curriculum committee has approved adding a fermentation science major, but it must still be approved by the university's Board of Governors before being added in the fall of 2013.

Only a handful of U.S. universities have undergraduate programs in food and beverage fermentation.
