Colo. Unemployment Rate Dips Slightly

DENVER- Colorado's unemployment rate decreased to 8.2 percent in August, down one-tenth of a percentage point from July's unemployment rate of 8.3 percent.

Figures released Friday by the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment show the largest over-the-month private sector job gains were in financial activities and professional and business services.

Meanwhile, the largest over-the-month declines were in trade, transportation and utilities and leisure and hospitality.

The national unemployment rate in August was 8.1 percent.
