CMU’s Career Fair Draws in Hundreds

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.- If you're in need of a job, then Colorado Mesa University was the place to be on Thursday.

Hundreds of people flooded into CMU’s University Center Ballroom for their annual Spring Connections Career Fair.

NewsChannel 5 and 49 vendors other vendors looking for employees set up shop.

We caught up with alumni from CMU who got a job from the fair last year. She participated again this year, but this time, was helping others get their dream jobs.

“It was definitely a big contributor to it,” said Ashley Wiseman, management trainee at Alpine Bank. “I met the people that were at the career fair here, and finished with the application process all online in April and got hired on the bank last July.”

The event was free to attend and not only were there students in attendance, but members of the public as well.
