GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. As displaced Grand Junction Residents turn off the lights and go to sleep in the Red Cross shelter, things at Colorado Mesa University start to heat up -literally.

Earlier on Tuesday gas lines were shut off, resulting CMU students to spend the day without warm food and hot showers.

"I just came from a hike and I can't shower," Brian, a CMU student said. "Well I guess I can, but it's gonna be cold!"

Just under 10,000 students attend CMU. Officials say chunks of the campus were impacted including the dorms.

KREX spoke to a student living in the dorms and he confirmed that around 10:30 Tuesday night the hot water came back on.
