CMU Football Player Suspended over Assault Allegations

by KREX News Room

Grand Junction - We have new details on the assault of a Grand Junction woman whose family says she was attacked because she was gay. 20-year-old Shane Williams has been arrested on multiple charges relating to an assault outside a local bar in the evening of Thursday February 16th.

Now Colorado Mesa University's head football coach, Russ Martin, says Williams has been suspended from the football team, and the college will wait for the investigation to close before taking any further action.

Officials say investigators are still working on the case, and are not ready to reveal much more information at this time.

What was he suspended for?

1 1=2 dummy....he put his football moves (read: assaulted, tackled and cracked skull) and not his dance moves (thug has none) on a girl in the community while indulging illegally at a local bar. CMU has no guts, suspension is just off the football team temporarily, pending....pending what? the investigation? pending the outcome? The thug admitted to it and the community police arrested him. What about school policy? So this behavior is tolerated as a student?? The President of CMU or Mesa State or whatever it's called now is a weenie and condones assault against women. Suspension? Give him the boot!

Suggestion, stop flaunting your sexual preferences. What you do in private is your business but please don't try to force us to accept your decisions when you are being overt and throwing it in our faces. Many people simply don't and won't believe that what you do is morally right. Scientifically, there are two specific genders for a reason.

'Scientifically, there are two specific genders for a reason.' ...really? About 1,500 species around the world practice homosexual attraction and mating. We live in a free country, Sheldon. If she was apparently throwing in everyone's face that she was a lesbian, then you better stop throwing it in everyone's face that you're straight. I don't believe your comment is morally right. What he did was wrong. He is a pansy. I hope he gets put away for a long time. Poor girl.

Suggestion. Shut up. Nobody threw anything in your face. Assuming you are "straight". Quit flaunting your sexual preference in front of me. I don't want to see you out with the one you love either, meaning kissing, hugging, or holding hands, or just even looking. I don't want to see it. Keep it in your private confines and don't force it on me either.

I didn't want it either. Signed- Your ex-wife

Amy, the difference between us and those "animals" that apparently practice such behavior is that we are human beings, created in the image of God. Homosexuality is defined by sex. Heterosexuality is defined by God.

What do you tell a woman with two black eyes?...Nothing, she didn't listen the first two times.

Um Amy.....homos can't "mate". No such thing as homosexual mating. On another note, since you are an authority on homosexual mating, just out of curiosity, if everyone was gay, how would humankind continue to exist?

What a piece of $hit...hope he has a nice time rotting in hell. Love you chels!

Um....@wrong....I'm talking about humans. No such thing as homosexual mating. They can't "mate". Humans surviving through cloning and IVF, lmao. You are nuts. What the heck. Let's redefine humanity. It's overrated anyway. Don't get me wrong, homos don't bother me. Just sayin', it's kinda goes against nature.

You are all pathetic. He will be punished for what he did.....assault. NOT a hate crime. I'm so sick of people trying to make things always about them and their own agenda. So what if she's gay....that is completely irrelevant to this case. He is a jerk for what he did to her. She is a jerk for trying to make it into more. Period. End of case. Move on to the next drama.
