CMU & WCCC Add New Technology Programs

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. - Colorado Mesa University and Western Colorado Community College announced the creation of six new certificate programs thanks to a $2.5 million federal grant.
The 16-week long programs will explore Process Systems Technology in electronics or control systems, Manufacturing Technology in basic welding or CAD/CAM and Technology Integration as a computer technician or a certified network technician.
"We believe these 16 week programs will give people an opportunity to improve their skills while also creating new on ramps and off ramps for their education and therefore workforce readiness," said Brigitte Sundermann with Western Colorado Community College.
If you are interested in learning more about the programs, and tuition grants available, officials will be holding a series of open houses starting next week:
The open houses will take place at WCCC at 2508 Blichmann Avenue.
