DENVER- Maintenance crews from the Colorado Department of Transportation are working around the clock to keep roadways clear for travelers.

Crews are already on 12 hour shifts, 24 hours a day for the impending storm.

Crews are working from midnight to noon and noon to midnight.

CDOT officials say 35 to 50 plows are on the road in the northwest region of the state, including Vail Pass and Eagle County.

If you plan on traveling through the winter storm, drivers can get updates on road condition with CDOT's new smart phone app. To access, search CDOT in your app store.
