Buffalo Wild Wings Prepares for Super Bowl

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.- Whatever team you plan on rooting for during this year's Super Bowl, it tends to be more than just about the game. It's a time to not only sit down with friends and family and watch the year's best commercials, but also eat some great food.

As we all get ready for the big day, the staff at Buffalo Wild Wings in Grand Junction are busier than ever preparing for their first Super Bowl in the Grand Valley.

“It’s absolutely insane,” said Shane Dixon, assistant general manager. “Of course we are all about beer, wings and football.”

“Super Bowl is our biggest day of the year,” said Alex Kllanxhja, bar manager.

Having just opened this past August, the grill and bar is doing their first Super Bowl up big.

“We've heard that there is 2 to 3 hours wait at other Buffalo Wild Wings, so we are expecting that here,” said Dixon. “We are one of the busiest wild wings in the company.”

The popular establishment has been breaking all sorts of company records and hopes to continue to set that bench this Sunday, by serving up countless of their famous wings.

“Our wings are brought in fresh and they are the best,” said Dixon. “We spin them in your favorite sauce.”

From sweet to blazing, Buffalo Wild Wings has 20 different sauces that will satisfy any taste bud.

They're of course offering restaurant seating but also have take-out options available to cater those looking for a more low-key night at home.

“We are stadium style food,” said Kllanxhja. “So it's really a sports lovers dream.”

“You could just come in and buy the sauces if you already have the wings, or we could also give you the wings in a to-go platter that is ready to put right in the oven,” said Dixon.

But even though the big day isn't for a couple more days, you'll have to act fast because managers from the restaurant say they already have had several people placing orders.

“We can only do so much before we are at capacity for making wings,” said Dixon. “So I would recommend getting your take-out orders in now and we will get you on the list.”
