GARFIELD COUNTY, Colo.- A body discovered in the Colorado River matches the description of a missing 12-year-old boy.

Garfield County officials have not confirmed the body is that of Richard Irving Buchanan, who was last seen alive Sunday.

A call came in Wednesday afternoon about a body found in the river three miles east of New Castle.

Garfield County Search and Rescue recovered the body from the river and turned it over to the coroner's office.
