Organizer for Proposed Festival Wanted by New Mexico Authorities

FARMINGTON, N.M.- The organizer for the once proposed country music festival called Bobby's Birthday Bash is wanted by New Mexico authorities.

The Farmington Police Department has obtained a second arrest warrant for Bobby Willis.

Willis is accused of embezzling a total of $13 million in losses in two cases.

An initial arrest warrant was issued Aug. 3 relating to an embezzlement of roughly $8 million in gemstones and money.

Although not directly connected to the ongoing criminal investigation dating back to Aug. 3, on Aug. 29 the Farmington Police Department obtained a second arrest warrant for Willis.

This warrant is in reference to the embezzlement of approximately $5,056,407.

"The $5 million includes gems and jewels that were given to Mr. Willis as part of an investment. The charges Willis is facing includes racketeering, fraud, embezzlement and security fraud," explained Detective Cpl. Russ Bradford from the Farmington Police Department.
