GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. - For those who have been out of high school for a while, Sabrosa Restaurante is giving folks another chance to re-live their prom experience, for a good cause.

This is the second year Sabrosa is holding their "Big Kid Prom." Organizers say it's a night for adults to get all dressed up and enjoy a new prom experience.

DJ Dusty Thunders will be playing the event, attendees will also get a free drink with a ticket and a photographer will be taking souvenir photos.

All ticket sales for the event will go to a local non-profit called Sustainable Roots, whose volunteers help many families in Ecuador by teaching English, assisting in other education programs and by building green houses.

"It's an excellent thing, I really enjoy all the work I do and I like making money for Sustainable Roots, it feels so good to me to know that money is going into projects that I really believe in," said Toni Walters, Manager of Sabrosa Restaurante and co-creator of Sustainable Roots.

The benefit will be held on March 30 starting at 8:00 p.m. at Sabrosa on 122 South 5th Street.

The tickets can be purchased at the door for $15/person or $20/couple.

Additional donations will be made by Abra Formal Wear, A Touch With Class Limousine, Bin 707 and Amber Floral if attendees bring in recent receipts from those businesses.
