Bennet: Best Shot in 20 Years for Immigration Fix

DENVER (AP) - Senator Michael Bennet says that, for the first time in 20 years, there is hope an immigration overhaul will pass Congress.

Bennet was one of eight bipartisan Senators who released an outline of an immigration bill this week that would allow most illegal immigrants to eventually become citizens. He said there has been a ``sea change'' nationally that gives him hope it could become law.

Bennet is a Democrat. He warmly praised Republican Senators John McCain and Marco Rubio for working with him on the outline and helping lead their party toward an immigration deal. Some in the largely-Hispanic crowd were frustrated at the time it might take illegal immigrants to become citizens under the plan. Bennet warned that they would have to compromise to get a law passed.

Sen Bennet? Didn't he vote yes on the job-killing travesty known as Obummercare that was passed under cover of darkness and holiday by democrat cowards on Christmas Eve, 2009?

Of course the surge in welfare payments will bring about the stoppage of social security payments. There won't be enough money to pay for both, and the dems will prefer paying for welfare over paying the retirement earned by those on SS. The other side is, it will keep the dems in power for the next 100 years. Even though the country will fall apart long before then, at least they will be in power when it falls. The blame game will be over, they will have won.

Ah, millions of new liberal voters. I'm sure the dictator in the white house and his cronies, can barely contain themselves.
