Be Prepared for Traffic on the Interstate

GARFIELD COUNTY, Colo.- Starting Tuesday motorists may want to leave a little earlier if they plan on traveling on Interstate 70.

The Colorado Department of Transportation will be starting a resurfacing project on I-70 starting at the New Castle exit, exit 105.

Work will also begin at exit 94 where no lane closures are required, and exit 97 where one off ramp will be closed.

The speed limit through the work zones to 35 mph and the pavement will be grooved.

Work will begin today and last through August 24th from 7 a.m. until 5 p.m.
