BLM Lifts Fire Restrictions in Grand Valley

MESA COUNTY, Colo.- Bureau of Land Management officials are reducing fire restrictions to Stage 1 on BLM land in the Grand Junction and Colorado River Valley areas.

Campfires are now permitted in designated metal fire grates in developed campgrounds.

Fires outside of these designated fire grates, including stone fire rings, fire pans and charcoal grills are still prohibited.

Propane and backpacking stoves are permitted.
