GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.- Grand Junction's Avalon Theatre is giving back to Grand Valley families in need this Christmas.

Instead of a dining receipt in exchange for free movie tickets during the theatre's weekly Dinner and a Movie series, on Tuesday (Dec. 25), the Avalon is asking its patrons to bring two non-perishable food items for one free movie ticket.

The Christmas day showing of the Wizard of Oz will be transformed into a one-day food drive benefiting the Western Slope Food Bank of the Rockies
