WESTMINSTER, Colo.- Westminster police are investigating a possible connection between the abduction and slaying of 10-year-old Jessica Ridgeway and the attempted abduction of a 22-year-old woman at a neighborhood lake in May.

Westminster police said the suspect in the May case involved a white male approximately 5'6" to 5'8" tall with a medium build.

The woman in the attempted abduction case was running on a trail around Ketner Lake, which is less than a half mile from Jessica's home.

Jessica's body was found Oct.10.

In the attempted abduction case, the woman reported that a man grabbed her from behind and placed a rag over her mouth that had a chemical smell.
